Massimo
was born November 4th, 1977 in Usella, Prato (Italy) where he
still lives. At the age of four, he joined the Saint Lawrence
Church's Choir, in his town, becoming soon the lead vocie. In
his family singing is recurring: his great grandfather was a
singer with an incredible voice and his mother a theater actress
who sings for pure leisure.
In
1990 Massimo performed in the tv show Big,
on Raiuno channel. At 17 y/o he decied to study singing and went
to several teacher's lessons, among which Ilaria Ceccherini and
Francesca Candela, enough to pick the technics and theory to
better manage his talent and natural instinct: in studio Massimo
arranges himself keeping the emotional charge he is known
for.
Later,
he was the winner in several contests, and performs on several
stages such as Teatro stabile Metastasio, Teatro
Politeama. Teatro Magnolfi and Anfiteatro Pecci (Prato); ex
Teatro Tenda SascHall (Firenze); Teatro Pacini (Pescia); Teatro
dell’Antoniano (Bologna); Teatro Regiò (Reggio Emilia);
Teatro Olimpico (Roma), Teatro Sociale di Amelia (Orvieto) and
Teatro Alighieri (Ravenna). He is also part in the main V.I.P.
parties all around Tuscany: (Otel Ristotheatre, Café de Paris
and Grand Hotel in Florence, Bonaventura Club in Monsummano
Terme, The Loft and Oca Fioca in Prato, Poggio de Medici Golf
Resort ini Scarperia…), sometimes with the piano sung by
Federico Sagona. He also sung at the exclusive Octave Café in
Saint Tropez, France. Massimo is also part of other Tv shows
(Toscana Tv; Tv Prato), exhibits and galas, cooperating with
famous Italian and international artists.
After
a national selection, he is chosen for the role of a young
Freddie Mercury, with Katia Ricciarelli and Jenny B. but the
musical I
love you Freddie...,
written and directed by Franco Miseria and Maurizio Colombi, is
blocked for technical reasons. In 2002 he has the opportunity to
perfection his style at the Art Educational School in London
with Paul Farrington, one of the most extimed belting
teachers.
In the same year he won the Bengio
Festival in
Benevento, a contest for young singers with the direction by di
Popi Fabrizio: Massimo performed the song Così
non va,
written by Maurizio Fabrizio and Guido Morra, shown on Raidue
channel on February 18th, 2003.
October
16th 2003: Massimo opens with the song Adagio
the Foniatric
International Congress
in
Ravenna, held by Professor Franco Fussi and other specialists in
this field. That same evening he is part of the Voice Gala at
the Alighieri Theater in Ravenna. with the song by
Whitney Houston I
believe in you and me.
December 20: he had a mini concert at the International Press
Conference before the Ravenna
Festival with
the cooperation of Maria Cristina Mazzavillani Muti, married
with the worldwide famous Orchestra Director Riccardo Muti.
Since
January 2004 he has concerts all around Tuscany
Filarmonica Giuseppe Verdi (40 members) with traditional
American songs re-arranged.. In december 2004 he was laureled in
Art and Show Business' Management and Direction, at the Florence
University.
In
June 2005 he released the first single Mani
su di me,
written byRiccardo Ancillotti (who also wrote Le
Parole for
Umberto Tozzi performed in Sanremo 2005). On July 15th
2006 he was the winner at the turkish Cesme
International Song Contest,
where, lonely Italian representative, performed Mani
su di me.
In
July he attended
the MORSKOJ
UZEL INTERNATIONAL SONG CONTEST 2007 in
Novorossijsk, on the Black Sea (Russia)
where he sings three songs: "Adagio",
"Oceano" and the unedit. he is the Winner
GRAND
PRIX). He has the plause by the
critic and the jury who define him God's Voice.
The Festival is shown by TV ZWESDA, TVC and TV CHANNEL.
In
October he meets again Marco
Vannuzzi, with whom he already cooperated eight years before
for a song written by Vannuzzi and Alessandro Canino. Since
summer 2006 "23 Music Entertainment srl", a label
by Marco Vannuzzi and Francesca Losappio (www.23music.com)
start to exclusively follow Massimo, expecially abroad.
In the
same month he attends the SUNKANE
SKALE FESTIVAL in Montenegro with
the new songo "Darei l'anima"
written by Jordan Cattonar and Claudio Fiori.
Massimo is fifth in the final chart. The Festival is aired in
Eurovision
by TV Pink, RTV Montenegro, TV NET and Tele Balkanika.
September
2007 - He took part as Italian contestant to the International
festival ASTANA 2007
in Astana, Kazakhstan, winning the first award as Best
performance of own country's song,
"Mani su di me". In that occasion he also sang a
popular kazakh song, "Kustar", translated in Italian
lyrics ("Siamo
solo uomini").
He got a standing ovation from the audience at the festival.
In
November he is in Serbia to meet popular singer Andrea
with whom records the song Leile
to be publicized and diffused the Spring after.
In
December instead he goes to Malta where Massimo takes part to
the Malta
International TV Song Festival
with the song Fiero
di Me, a
maltese song originally called "Kuragg"
February
14th 2008, Mariella Nava sends
Massimo the song Credo (I
believe), written for him, which will be the title of his
incoming album.
May 20th 2008, the Compilation by
major EDEL, named Eri Esittajia ( Prego Prego
Italia) is released in Finland.
Massimo's song Mani su di me
is the second song in this prestigious tracklist which
includes some of the most successful Italian songs like Meravigliosa
Creatura by Gianna Nannini, Imbranato by Tiziano Ferro,
Una storia d'amore by Jovanotti, Mai più noi due
by Dolcenera and many others.
June 19th Massimo graduates with 110 cum
laude at the Florence University in "Textile Art
Production".
Massimo's
voice, with an incredible extension, has an emotional
power and timber, a combination that, in the opinion of many,
surprises and echants both specialists and public.
